Frequently asked questions about outdoor Led lighting for gardens

How to place pool lights?

This part is very important, because if not done correctly can lead to glare or lighting failures. There are three alternatives when installing. We will discuss them below.
- Single Focus: In small-sized pools where there is no obstacle is sufficient with the installation of a single focus. This will always be placed centered on the shortest part of the pool to, in this way, illuminate the longest part of the pool.
- Confronted spotlights: As long as our pool allows for the dimensions, you can install the spotlights centered on the shortest part of the pool and facing each other. This way the light is distributed more evenly, and you can overcome small alterations or obstacles that can be found in the pool.
- Illumination from the wide part: When the long part of the pool exceeds 10 meters the bulbs are installed along this part leaving a separation between foci of 2.5 m and 1.25 m at both ends. The placement of these bulbs will be done by turning your back on the house or any other step area to avoid glare problems.

Installing Pool Lights

How do you know how many spotlights to install in a pool?

The recommendation of most installers recommends the installation of 1 pool floodlight for every 20 m2 of water surface. The optimum location of the bulbs is 30 cm from the top of the pool. In this way, access to them is facilitated by maintenance tasks. If for example you are going to build a pool of 6 m x 4 m, you will only have to install a pool spotlight.

Compatibility between LED and halogen recessed pool spotlights

If you currently have 100w Halogen spotlights installed in your pool, the LED substitution is by 12w, while it does have installed 300w bulbs, the equivalence to LED will be 25w.
