BX3 stadium floodlights are part of the professional BX3 lighting line in the GreenIce catalog, designed to light large sports areas with plenty of light, good uniformity and the lowest possible energy use. They are the LED alternative to old metal halide floodlights, with instant start and no warm-up time.

What sets a stadium floodlight apart

A stadium floodlight differs from a conventional outdoor floodlight in its power, optics and ruggedness. In the general GreenIce collection of stadium floodlights you'll find models from 100 W to 1000 W with efficacies of up to 160 lm/W, IP65 or IP66 protection, 5000 K light and options such as:

  • Interchangeable optics: 60º, 90º, 120º or 80x150º asymmetric, depending on the distance and geometry of the field.
  • 1-10V dimmable drivers: from manufacturers such as Philips Xitanium or Meanwell, to adjust the light level for training or matches.
  • High-efficiency chips: Lumileds or Philips, with rated lifespans of up to 100,000 hours.

How to choose a stadium floodlight

Required lighting level

Each sport and competition level requires a minimum lux level and uniformity. A lighting study tells you how many floodlights you need and at what wattage.

Mast height and optics

The higher the mast, the narrower the optics (60º) to concentrate the light; on low masts or small courts, wide or asymmetric optics that reduce glare.

Dimming

1-10V drivers let you reduce energy use during training and meet different usage levels. Also check out our LED drivers.

Protection and ruggedness

Look for IP65 or IP66 and aluminum bodies with good heat dissipation to withstand the elements.
