Description
The Epistar COB Modules are specially indicated for the substitution of the LED diodes installed inside bulbs, spotlights, downlights, LED high bays and in general all kinds of street lighting luminaires.
These diodes consist of a plastic coating material (PVC) that surrounds the high-quality semiconductor material, supported by a 1 mm metal base that acts as an elementary heatsink plate. Due to the reduced thickness of this metal plate, it is convenient to mount them on another larger dissipating surface to avoid high temperatures.
In addition, the quality and design of these LEDs allow their power to be optimized to the maximum, obtaining levels of much higher lighting than conventional ones. These have two connectors (positive and negative) located one diagonally from the other, thus enabling a better distribution of electrical energy.
Utilities: strong>
- Individual: powering the LED directly from the power supply through a regulated source or with the use of resistors or regulators. The desired voltage must be supplied to the LED within the working values.
- Parallel configuration:power a group of LEDs by connecting all the anodes together and all the cathodes together,using the required voltage regulated by a single resistor in series.
- Settings in series: supply of a group of LEDs connected sequentially. The number of LEDs to use per series will be limited by the voltage delivered by the power supply.
- Polarization: the positive pole of the power supply must be connected to the anode (or to the beginning of the series) , while the negative pole must be connected to the cathode (or to the closure of the series).
