How to choose a Philips-Signify luminaire

Lumens and wattage

First define how much light you need (lumens) based on the size and use of the space; the wattage tells you the energy consumption.

Color temperature

3000 K for warm ambiances, 4000 K for work areas and 6500 K for outdoor areas or warehouses where maximum brightness is needed.

IP rating

IP20 for dry indoor areas, IP44–IP54 for bathrooms and kitchens, and IP65 or higher for outdoor use.

Installation

Check whether the luminaire is surface-mounted or recessed and, if recessed, the ceiling cut-out size.
