Led Strips for Terraces

LED strips for terraces turn an outdoor space into a pleasant living area as the sun goes down. Built into pergolas, railings, steps or planters, they create indirect, enveloping light that doesn't dazzle and highlights the architecture. At GreenIce you'll find weatherproof strips with the protection needed to withstand rain, sun and temperature changes.

LED strips suitable for outdoor use

  • 220 V IP65 strips: connect directly to the mains without a transformer, on 10 and 50 meter reels. Ideal for long runs such as the perimeter of the terrace or a pergola. Available in SMD2835, SMD2025 and COB, in 3000 K, 4000 K, 6000 K and colors.
  • 24 V IP65 and IP67 COB strips: provide a continuous line of light with no visible dots, perfect when the strip is on show. Supplied in 5 m rolls and also on 50 m reels.
  • IP65 RGB and RGBW strips: to create colorful ambiences for parties or outdoor dinners, with a controller.

To complete the installation, there are IP65 connectors and end caps, as well as IP67 waterproof power supplies.

Ideas for lighting the terrace

  • Under railings and benches: grazing light that outlines the space without bothering anyone.
  • On pergolas and ceilings: indirect light that illuminates the table and seating area.
  • On steps: safety when moving around at night.
  • On planters and walls: highlight plants and textures.

How to choose LED strips for the terrace

IP rating

Choose at least IP65. In areas where water can pool or in contact with the ground, go for IP67.

Voltage: 220 V or 24 V

220 V strips are easier to install on long runs. 24 V strips allow more flexible short runs and operate at low voltage, with a waterproof power supply.

Color temperature

3000 K creates a warm, relaxed atmosphere, the most common choice for terraces; 4000 K gives more neutral light. With RGB you can change color to suit the occasion.

Mounting

Install the strip in profiles or channels that protect it from knocks and direct sun, and seal the connections well.

Frequently asked questions

Can I cut a 220 V strip?

Yes, but only at the marked cutting points, which are usually further apart than on 24 V strips.

Find more options in 220VAC LED strips, LED rope lights and neon flex and terrace lighting. At GreenIce you get fast shipping, a 3-year warranty on GreenIce products and technical advice.
