Description

High Power LEDs are usually used to replace all types of lamps and projectors.

These LEDs are covered by a kind of silicone surrounded by white plastic, supported on a metal base that acts as a pre-dissipating plate.

The metal plate has four holes at its ends in order to screw them to the wall or to the surface where they are to be displayed. Through the marks of the sign plus ( ) and minus (-) indicate the part that corresponds to the positive and negative polarity, respectively. Due to their metal base, they must be mounted on another dissipating surface to avoid high temperatures.

The High Power COB LEDs have four connectors, 2 with positive and 2 negative polarity, from which it is possible to connect them by soldering them using a tin point.

Utilities:

  • Individual: powering the LED directly from the power supply by means of a power supply. nte regulated or with the use of resistors or regulators. The desired voltage must be supplied to the LED within the working values.
  • Parallel configuration: power supply of a group of LEDs connecting all the anodes together and all the cathodes together,using the required voltage regulated by a single resistor in series.
  • Series configuration:supplying a group of LEDs connected sequentially. The number of LEDs to use per series will be limited by the voltage delivered by the power supply.
  • Polarization: the positive pole of the power supply must be connected to the anode (or to the beginning of the series) , while the negative pole must be connected to the cathode (or to the closure of the series).
