Home Lighting

Planning your home lighting room by room is the easiest way to get it right: every space has different needs, and we've grouped them here so you can find what your bathroom, kitchen or terrace needs in just a few clicks. At GreenIce we select ceiling lights, downlights, decorative lamps, tubes, sensors and solar solutions with the real use of each room in mind.

What will you find for each room?

  • Bathroom: fixtures protected against moisture (IP44 or higher), sealed ceiling lights and illuminated mirrors. Discover our bathroom lighting.
  • Kitchen: ceiling lights and linear fixtures with neutral light for precise work on the countertop. See our kitchen lighting.
  • Dining room and living room: dimmable downlights, pendant, floor and table lamps to create a warm atmosphere.
  • Bedroom: warm light, table lamps and reading wall lights for rest.
  • Garage: T8 LED tubes, waterproof fittings and high-output batten lights.
  • Hallway and entryway: ceiling lights with sensors and presence detectors so the light only comes on when you walk by. Check out our hallway lighting.
  • Terrace: solar bollards, wall lights and floodlights, string lights and IP65 fixtures. Browse our terrace lighting.

Why plan your lighting room by room

Lighting a passageway is not the same as lighting a workspace or a place to relax. In areas where you carry out tasks (kitchen, bathroom, garage) you need more lumens and neutral or cool light; in living and resting areas, warm, indirect and ideally dimmable light works best. On top of that, damp or outdoor spaces require a suitable IP rating.

How to choose the lighting for each room

Color temperature

Use 2700–3000 K in the living room, dining room and bedroom; 4000 K in the kitchen, bathroom and work areas; and 5000–6000 K in garages and storage rooms where visibility comes first. CCT fixtures let you change the tone to suit the moment.

Amount of light

Calculate lumens according to floor area and use: a kitchen or garage needs far more light than a hallway or bedroom.

IP rating

In bathrooms and kitchens near water, look for IP44 or higher; on terraces and exposed outdoor areas, IP65.

Control and automation

Presence detectors and ceiling lights with sensors are ideal in entryways, hallways and garages; dimmers and remote controls work best in living rooms and bedrooms.

At GreenIce you get fast shipping, a 3-year warranty on GreenIce products and technical advice to help you plan the lighting of your whole home, room by room.
