RGB LED strips

RGB LED strips let you fill any space with color: ceilings, furniture, headboards, store windows or entertainment areas. They combine red, green and blue LEDs to create millions of shades from a remote control or an app. At GreenIce you'll find 12 V and 24 V RGB strips, COB technology, digital strips with effects and complete ready-to-install kits.

Types of RGB LED strips

12 V DC RGB strips

5-meter SMD5050 strips with 150 LEDs (36 W, 2100 lm) or 300 LEDs (72 W, 4200 lm), in IP20/IP33 versions for indoor use, coated IP65 for damp areas, black PCB for a discreet finish and submersible IP68.

24 V DC RGB strips

300-LED, 72 W SMD5050 strips in IP33 or IP65, and 16 W/m COB strips in RGB (672 lm/m) and RGBW (784 lm/m). At 24 V, longer runs can be powered with less voltage drop.

COB RGB strips

COB technology places the chips so close together that the light looks like a continuous line, with no visible dots, even without a diffuser profile.

Digital (addressable) RGB strips

COB strips with a 2811 chip (20 IC/m), 19 W/m at 24 V, in IP20 and IP65. They let you control each section separately to create chase, rainbow or animated effects.

RGB strip kits

5, 10 and 15 meter kits with power supply, controller and Bluetooth or remote control, plus packs of 4 strips. Everything you need to get started in a single box.

Uses for RGB LED strips

  • Home: ceiling coves, behind the TV, headboards, kitchens and gaming areas.
  • Businesses: bars, restaurants, nightclubs, store windows and signs.
  • Outdoors and pools: IP65 and IP68 versions for terraces, gardens or pool edges.

How to choose an RGB LED strip

Voltage: 12 V or 24 V

For short runs, 12 V is enough. For long runs, choose 24 V: it suffers less voltage drop and keeps the color uniform.

RGB, RGBW or digital

RGB creates colors; RGBW adds pure white so it can light as well as decorate; digital strips allow animated effects.

IP rating

IP20 for dry indoor areas, IP65 for damp areas or sheltered outdoor spaces and IP68 for submersion.

Controller and power supply

You need a compatible controller (RGB, RGBW or digital) and a power supply with enough capacity, with a 20% safety margin.

Complete your installation with LED strip controllers, 12/24 V power supplies and aluminum profiles.

At GreenIce you get fast shipping, a 3-year warranty on GreenIce products and technical advice to design your color installation.
